Getting the most from your Halogen Heater
Although some of these tips may seem painfully obvious, it's worth repeating them here regardless!
- Minimise the area to be heated as much as is possible. Increasing the size of the area to be heated also increases running costs. If possible, close doors leading to areas not intended to be heated, or drape curtains across openings to other rooms.
- Use a heater that can do the job. A small heater won't heat a large area efficiently, and this will increase running costs. Conversely, a large heater can be expensive to run and will prove uneconomical when used to heat a small area.
- Insulate your home properly to conserve heat. Draughts and poor insulation can mean heat isn't retained, so your halogen heater is left on for extended periods.
